Donate Blood and Save a Life

This video is of the semi-annual blood drive at Olathe Northwest High School. This is the first time I have ever done a voiceover for a video. I have learned that that you have to talk very slow and really

Feel Again #2

This is my 90 second music video of Feel Again by One Republic. I think the most difficult part was editing the music video down to only 90 seconds. I had to take out some shots that I really liked and shorted other clips. I really like using the markers because it just makes it easier to transition on the beat. If I ever do another music video I will definitely use markers. I also used color correction on this video and played with the brightness of some shots. I also changed the flash back to black and white which I didn't do in the first video

Feel Again

This is my music video, we chose the song Feel Again by One Republic. Brett and Trey were in my group. Brett did most of the filming and he storyboarded, Trey did some filming, and we all acted in the video. We worked really well together and we didn't run into any problems

The Chase

In this project I worked on filming my shots longer so I have more footage to work with and edit. I also made sure we kept our camera on the tripod the whole time so the film isn't shaky. I worked on making my shots continuous. Collaboration in this project wasn't to different from the other times, we just had more people with more roles and if one person didn't give 100% it affected the whole group. The camera man needs to keep the camera steady, the story boarder needs to make sure the shots are continuous and make sense in the order they are in, and the actor needs to follow directions of the storyboarded and the camera man. In my next project I plan on implementing everything I have learned about video and teamwork.

Debate

In doing this project I learned how to make my video continuous with each shot and I got some practice using different camera angles. In my next project I will apply what I have learned so far, like keeping my shots continuous and using a tripod for every shot. I also plan to apply all the different camera angles that I have learned in the last two projects.

Collaboration means working together with a person or a group of people to get something done. Collaboration is important to this project because the camera man needs to be clear with the actor in what they want, and the actor has to deliver on their part and meet the needs of the videographer. Every person in the group has to give 100% and contribute all they can to the project.

Basketball

6 shot sequence video.
Extra Close up: A close up of the hands
Close up: a close up of the face
Medium shot: a shot of the waist up
Wide shot: a shot of the whole body but not the setting
Extra wide shot: shows the setting of the film
Over the shoulder: a view over the shoulder of the subject, what they are doing.

In doing this project I have learned many new things that will help me as a videographer. I have learned that using a tripod is essential and without it the video will turn out very shaky, and nobody wants to watch a shaky video. I have also learned about the 6 shot sequence. I think using these 6 different shots in my future videos will make them a lot more interesting to watch. Using sound in your video can change the whole feel or mood of your film, the kind of music or sound effects you use can totally change the message that your viewers get from watching your video. In my next project I will be sure to include these different shots and USE A TRIPOD. I will be more experienced in using Final Cut Pro now that I have made a video using this program. Overall I loved this project and I have learned some new things that will help me in the future.
